Concession

The concession area raises much needed funds for our game day expenses. There are several areas that make up concession including game day concession stand, practice candy stand, 50/50 raffle and gate donation collections. Part of your registration obligation is to work two game day shifts in order to get concession fee refunds but more help is needed. Volunteers are need to work for those who choose to pay the fee instead of work their duty. Why not venture over and see if help is needed while you are at practice. There is also set up and clean up on each game concession day. These are just a few area that need your attention. With the proceeds from this stand we are able to pay all fess associated with running game day including paying of the referees, our insurance and our fee to the SSYF League.

Lucky Lotto Tickets

This is our most profitable and not to mention our largest fundraiser. Tickets are distributed with registration as each child is required to sell one book of tickets. Each book contains 40 tickets ranging from $5.00 to free. The lottery is based on the PA Evening Daily 4 drawing on September 1st 2008. With the proceeds from this fundraiser we are able to purchase new equipment and uniforms to replace worn items. This money is also used for other equipment and items that are needed by each of the teams and squads.

Night At The Races

This event is our second largest fundraiser. A fun adult only evening out, it includes not only the race portion of the evening, but dinner and dancing too. We also hold a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, games of chance, jello shots and door prizes. Races are run by Dan Coley (he is our DJ too.) You can own your very own race horse for $10.00 and if your horse wins, so do you to the tune of $50.00. There is a $2.00 minimum bet per race and the winning payout is based on the odds of the race. The evening requires many volunteers to make everything happen. Any time you can give will make it that much easier on those who run the function. The proceeds from this fundraiser are used for facilities and other association expenses.

Merchandise

Show your Cougar pride by wearing the "official" merchandise of the Little Cougars. Now available are tees, sweats, hats and seat cushions. The proceeds from this fundraiser help defray the cost of keeping our organization going including keeping registration fees affordable and equipment usage free.

Other Programs

The following are other non-fundraising programs that help our organization run smoothly. We are always looking for help so please give any time that you can. Game Day: There is more to it than just stepping on and off the field. Help is needed getting the field ready for the first game and cleaning up after the last. Please help our coaches out by helping on game day. We also need three people for each game to help with the sticks. Parent/Team Helper: We are looking for at least one parent from each team/squad to help facilitate communication, help coaches coordinate game snack and whatever else may be needed. This is a great way to get to know all the team parents. This is relatively new so anyone with ideas on how to improve are always welcome.
