We are a volunteer run organization whose basis is to provide the youth a positive and safe atmosphere
to participate in football and cheerleading. The objective of the Association shall be to encourage the youth of the community to respect the ideals
of good sportsmanship. This will be done by stressing to the youth responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-esteem, self-respect, and respect to others.
We currently have three divisions offering participation for ages six (6) through thirteen (13) in the Carlynton School district and surrounding communities.
We are always seeking youth who are interested in developing, increasing and enhancing their skills. Our ultimate goals is to provide our participants with the skills,
fundamentals and experience to help them compete successfully throughout their high school career.
It is our hope that all the youth find this a positive and rewarding experience.
Our Goal
The Carlynton Little Cougar Football Association shall provide to the youth a positive and safe atmosphere to
participate in football. The objective of the Association shall be to encourage the youth of the community to respect the ideals of good sportsmanship.
This will be done by stressing to the youth responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-esteem, self-respect, and respect to others. This will be achieved
by providing supervised competitive athletic games and through quality leadership and coaching with the result being children becoming productive members of our community Our Purpose The purpose of the Carlynton Little Cougars Football Association is to provide a competitive sports program for the youth of
its school district. (a) To the boys and girls who have participated in the past year. (b) Provide these same opportunities to the boys and girls of the neighboring school
districts, based upon the current League's By-Laws. (c) Provide these same opportunities to boys and girls outside the communities, based upon the current League's By-Laws.
(d) Provide the same opportunities to boys and girls whose communities do not have these sports programs, based upon the current League's By-Laws. Our History On February 4, 1969 our organization was granted its Articles of Incorporation thereby declaring us the "Crafton Little Cougar
Football Association, Inc." Many years after, Carnegie, Crafton and Rosslyn Farms merged to form one school district -now known as Carlynton. Several years later our organization
became know as the "Carlynton Little Cougar Football Association". One of our most famous players has been Bill Cowher, Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach. With each year bringing a
few more players closer to achieving Pro status. Many current high school players are alumni of the Little Cougars. Beginning the 2005 season, we pursued the process of becoming
a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Thereby helping our program to continue for many more years to come.
